Not all polymers can achieve optimal laser marking results. Polymers like PE or PP are almost transparent to common near-infrared lasers operating at around 1064 nm. Thus, the use of laser marking additives, laser-sensitive additives, or laser-activated additives is crucial in many polymers to achieve successful high-performance laser marking.
